President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his plan to reset the nation to pave the way for progress under his leadership.

Reflecting on the current state of affairs, President Mahama acknowledged the significant economic hardships Ghanaians have experienced in recent years.

In his remarks after being sworn into office on January 7, he assured Ghanaians that he will work tirelessly to ensure the economy returns to its normalcy.

He also underscored the importance of effective governance that delivers tangible benefits to the people.

“If democracy is to be celebrated as the best form of governance, then its outcomes must be evident in the daily lives of citizens,” he noted.

He added that an honest assessment of the nation’s pulse reveals a widespread sentiment of disconnection from the promised dividends of democracy.

Highlighting the resilience of the Ghanaian people, the president expressed optimism for a new era.

“We have endured severe economic hardships, moving from one crisis to another in recent years. But there is hope on the horizon,” he stated.

“Today marks the beginning of a new opportunity—an opportunity to redefine our governance and economic strategies. Together, we shall reset our beloved nation, Ghana,” he added.
