Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his support for Ghana’s newly inaugurated President, John Dramani Mahama, during the January 7, 2025, ceremony in Accra.

Tinubu pledged solidarity and urged closer collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria.

In his remarks, Tinubu conveyed a message of brotherhood to Mahama.

“My dear brother, I am here to walk with you. You can always count on my support. We are your brothers and sisters, and we shall always be there for you,” he assured.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity between the two nations, expressing hope for Mahama’s administration to bring progress to Ghana and the region.

He highlighted the need for stronger partnerships in sectors that drive shared prosperity and regional stability.

“We are stronger when we work together. Ghana’s progress is vital to the advancement of West Africa,” Tinubu said, calling for collaborative efforts to achieve mutual goals.

He also noted that the Ghana-Nigeria partnership could serve as a model for the rest of Africa, inspiring greater unity and progress across the continent.

Tinubu closed by expressing confidence in Mahama’s leadership, urging both nations to focus on fostering regional growth and development.
