On January 1, 2025, the Sir Richie Foundation Ghana UK had the honor of visiting Baba Kasim, a remarkable centenarian who has reached the age of 103. Residing in Edwiratia, near Aboaso in the Ashanti region, Baba Kasim stands as a beacon of compassion and resilience, having dedicated his life to nurturing approximately 150 orphans. Since the days of the Busia era, he has tirelessly provided for these vulnerable children, ensuring they are fed with three nutritious meals each day and receive a proper education to build a brighter future.

During their heartfelt visit, the representatives of the Sir Richie Foundation presented a generous monetary donation aimed at bolstering Baba Kasim’s noble efforts in caring for the children. The atmosphere was filled with joy as the foundation members also took the time to distribute delicious biscuits and refreshing beverages to all the children present, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. They made a promise of continued support, reinforcing their commitment to Baba Kasim’s essential work.

Baba Kasim, deeply touched by this display of kindness, expressed his profound gratitude through heartfelt prayers for the foundation’s members. The children, full of joy and excitement, reciprocated with their own prayers for the foundation’s team, enveloping the gathering in a warm, uplifting spirit. Mr. Kofi Marfo, the founder of the Sir Richie Foundation, emphasized the organization’s dedication to ongoing assistance, pledging further support for Baba Kasim and the orphans he lovingly cares for. Among those accompanying him were notable representatives: Mr. Abraham Bonsu, the Regional Director, Mr. Ronney Amoako Marfo, the Development Manager, and Mr. Emmanuel Boadu, the Supply Manager, all committed to making a positive impact in the lives of these children.
