Lloyds and Halifax have become the latest banks to announce a series of branch closures across England and Wales as a growing number of services move from the high street to online.
Lloyds Banking Group, which owns both banks, will close 18 Halifax sites and 22 Lloyds branches between April and June.
It comes after Barclays recently announced it will shut 15 more branches from April, adding to the 11 sites that were already confirmed for closure in 2023.
