ERNEST KWAKU Kobeah, a UK-based businessman, who has expressed interest in contesting the flagbearership slot of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), come May 6, this year, has commended the National Executives of the party for pegging the fee for the flagbearership forms at GH¢500,000.
According to Mr. Kobeah, such an amount would help the NDC to raise some funds to support its activities ahead of the 2024 elections, adding he is ready to pick the forms when the time is due.
“The NDC has been in opposition for almost eight years and as a political party, much money would be needed to file and run its activities. Therefore, in spite of the fact that the amount seems a bit high, I am ready to pick the forms on February 22, 2023,” he stated.
Mr. Kobeah is an astute NDC member who has contributed immensely towards the party’s activities. He says he has a vision to build a new Ghana should the delegates give him the flagbearer position to lead the party into victory in 2024.
Born in 1978, the businessman has been able to spread his business tentacles across the borders of the United Kingdom.
Also, the sewage system expert says that he believes the NDC needs a young and vibrant candidate who can lead the party in the 2024 and 2028 elections respectively.
He has, therefore, advised the party to refrain from allowing ‘moneycracy’ to overrule the core values of the party.
