The Ahafo Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has revised the terms of the curfew imposed on Bomaa in the Tano North Municipality. The curfew was imposed on the town on January 9 by the Regional Security Council in consultation with the Interior Minister and the National Security Minister after chieftaincy clashes in the area. Ranking Member on the Finance Committee of Parliament Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has described the current inflation of 54.1 per cent as frightening. In his view, the central bank, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) may have to respond to this upward trend by increasing the policy rate which is currently 27 per cent.
