Former Shell boss Ben van Beurden received a pay package of £9.7m last year, up more than 50% from 2021. His pay was revealed in the oil and gas giant’s annual report and accounts. The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) is calling on the government to help the authority with a whopping amount of $200 million for an “effective and fully operational monitoring system” in order to identify earthquakes or earth tremors when they are about to strike. There has been a marginal increase in the number of Ghanaians who travelled and settled outside Ghana in 2021. The figure increased to 269,531 from 250,624 which was recorded in 2010 with Europe, the Americas (North, South and Caribbean) and African countries outside of ECOWAS being their most favoured destinations.
