A driver who stole mobile phones from a journalist and two others in Sakumono, Community 17, has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court. Kwabena Gyimah, also known as “69,” was caught on CCTV footage installed in the journalist’s home, showing him committing the theft. The Accra Circuit Court Three has sentenced 25-year-old Liberian national Daniel Ireland to 10 years in prison with hard labour for robbing a Bolt driver of his vehicle. Ireland and his 18-year-old American lover, Skylah Leeann Marine Travis, admitted to conspiring to rob the driver and were convicted based on their own pleas. The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has described the current feeding fee of GH₵ 7.50p for students in Senior High Schools (SHSs) as inadequate. A police constable and three Community Assistance Police (CAP) officers were attacked by thugs on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Akrofuom, within the Obuasi Divisional Police Command, while attempting to arrest a suspect, Sibuba, for threatening to cause harm to a complainant.
