The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has officially banned two former students, Ransford Fosu-Boateng, popularly known as “Scammer Baby,” and Raphael Appiah Owusu, declaring them persona non grata for repeated acts of indiscipline and endangering campus security.
According to a statement issued by the University Relations Office, the decision was made following several instances where the two ex-students engaged in unauthorized activities on campus after their dismissal from the university.
Fosu-Boateng was expelled on March 21, 2022, while Owusu was dismissed at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year.
Despite no longer being students, both individuals were reportedly found frequenting university halls, inciting disturbances, harassing students, and violating institutional rules.
Their most recent offense involved participation in an unlawful gathering that escalated into property damage—an incident captured on the university’s CCTV system.
KNUST’s management stressed that the two are not permitted to enter, loiter, or access any area within the university premises.
Any attempt to do so will be treated as trespassing.
The university also warned current students against associating with the dismissed individuals.
It added that anyone caught assisting them in gaining access to campus facilities will face strict disciplinary action.
The statement reiterated KNUST’s firm commitment to maintaining discipline, peace, and a secure academic environment for all students and staff.
