Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has lashed out at his brother, Linc Edochie, following comments made about his controversial marriage to Judy Austin.
Linc, who recently appeared on Kanayo O Kanayo’s podcast, offered his opinion on Yul’s public relationship, advising him to keep his marriage off social media to avoid unnecessary public scrutiny.
Linc argued, “Everybody has the right to live as they choose, but if your decision hurts someone close to you, you must think carefully.
Take your marriage away from social media. People love to see others fail, and once there’s a problem, they’ll tear you apart.” His words seemed to target Yul’s frequent posts about his marriage on social media.
However, Yul did not take his brother’s advice lightly. In a fiery Instagram post on November 6, 2024, he slammed Linc’s comments, calling him out for offering unsolicited advice despite his marriage challenges.
Yul wrote, “Ndi ‘keep your marriage off social media’ kwenu! Ndi ala,” referencing his brother’s suggestion with disdain.
He pointed out that Linc had hidden his marriage, yet it still ended in divorce.
Yul’s frustration didn’t stop there. He continued, “You wey hide your marriage inside the house, you no still divorce? Your wife no leave you? Psychos. Everybody na adviser for social media.” He added, “Your own life go dey scatter, you no fit fix am. But you sabi advise other people.
If I post my wife one million times on my page, how e take concern you? Na you buy me data or na your wife I post? Idiots.”
Yul’s response highlights the tension between the brothers over personal matters made public and the advice given regarding their personal lives.
