Popular gospel artiste Empress Gifty has revealed that gospel musicians frequently face spiritual opposition before launching new music.
According to her, these challenges stem from the song’s potential to inspire and uplift listeners.
“Every new song we release, we get attacks (spiritual) before the song is out. If they (gospel musicians) will tell you.
“The kind of attacks you will go through because the song is coming to impact lives, it’s bringing miracles to someone so you the artistes if you are not spiritually grounded, if the attacks come you will even forget your lyrics, I am telling you,” she said in a recent interview.
Empress Gifty noted that gospel artists must be spiritually grounded to withstand these attacks, otherwise, they risk being derailed from their mission
“That’s why some artistes when they release song, after three interviews, they stop. Its not their willingness. When the attack comes, sometimes they lose focus and stop meanwhile, they have a very good message…It’s not easy,” she added.
Empress Gifty, who is currently promoting her latest song, Watch Me, was recently honoured by veteran gospel musician, Georgia Adjei for being a strong support in her difficult moments. (Related article: Empress Gifty saved me after my surgery- Georgia Adjei recounts difficult moment)
